Welcome to the Summer Camp Leadership blog. For those of us who lead summer camps, making a positive difference in the lives of young people is our passion. Turning that passion into a reality, however, takes more than the ability to lead songs, teach archery or plan craft projects. Creating camp experiences that truly transform lives takes leadership. Leadership that creates a vision for the future, leadership that inspires and engages others, leadership that remains focused and stays the course. My hope is through this blog you'll find ideas, inspiration and tools to help you be a great summer camp leader.

Hints for Being Punctuality

Do you struggle to be punctual? Do you find yourself always running late? In a recent issue of Fast Company, Jessica Hullinger shared three secrets from those who are habitually punctual.

1. They're meticulous calendar keepers. With all of the technology tools at our disposal never rely on memory for where you need to be, when you need to be there, how long it takes to get there and reminding you when you need to leave to be on time.

2. They expect and always plan for delays. Unexpected things do happen. Rather than allowing them to dictate to you, expect them and plan extra time and alternatives

3. They save a task for when they arrive early. Have something productive to do with the time you have when you arrive early.
